Actually interesting that bloggers were named the people of the year on ABC. Anyways the really catchy thing was that people are setting up blogs for Tsunami relief. Its actually really good, so i thought that i would post it so everyone else could check it out.

http://tsunamirelief.blogspot.com

Also i was looking on this site and saw a post that had a few picutres of the missing. I know that people say this alot and all, but i really think that we are taking alot for granted. I know for a fact that I am, im just amazed though at how quickly everyone has gone to these people aid, with relief funds, food, and countries working together without and battles. Now also thumbs up to Japan, who im pretty sure donated $200, 000, 000 (correct me if im wrong please) to the relief fund with Canada at 80, 000, 000 still awesome to see the donation. So yah i don't know maybe everyone should just take some time and actually be grateful for the extremely fortunate lives we are capable of living.

~Caley

MY TEST

Take the test - click on the link below!

Disorder Rating
Paranoid: Low
Schizoid: Low
Schizotypal: Low
Antisocial: Moderate
Borderline: Low
Histrionic: Moderate
Narcissistic: Low
Avoidant: Low
Dependent: Low
Obsessive-Compulsive: Low

URL of the test: http://www.4degreez.com/misc/personality_disorder_test.mv
URL for more info: http://www.4degreez.com/misc/disorder_information2.html

TOP 10 MOVIES OF 2004

Hey so I was browsing through this magazine today and came across this really bad list of movies for 2004. First of all #6 shouldn't even be considered a movie. So anyways ill get on with it.

*REVIEWS BY DAN JEWEL

1. Hotel Rwanda - Basically it's Schindler's List set in Rwanda, and this shattering true tale is every bit as strange as Spielberg's master piece.

2. Finding Neverland - Johnny Depp shines as J.M. Barrie, who found the inspiration for Peter Pan from a widow and her four boys. Its a moving magical film,

3. Garden State - Zach Braff and Natalie Portman have genuine chemistry in this small gem, which effortlessly segues from surreal comedy to unecpectedly poignant romantic drama.

4. Hero - Sit back and let yoru jaw drop. IT's part historical epic, part martial-arts actions flick, and the most visually gorgeous film in recent memory.

5. Before Sunset - Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy meet again in this seet, sad sequel to Before Sunrise, which outshines the original in every way.

6. Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind - (STUPID) Charlie Kaufman, the writer behind Being John Malkovich and Adaptation, presents a typically trippy mindblower. But this one's an utterly heartbreaking love story as well.

7. The Aviator - Martin Scorsese's best movie in a decade take flight thanks to a remarkable performance from Leonarda DiCaprio as eccentric billionaire Howard Hughes.

8. Dawn of the Dead - Yes, seriously. The remake of the 1978 sombie flick is one of the flat-out scariest horror movies in years.

9. The Sea Inside - The true stor of a paralyzed man who fought a 30-year-campaign ro win the right to die sounds like the stuff of a bad after-school special. But it's told with humor, humainity, dignity and above all surprisiong restraint.

10. Friday Night Lights - This rousing underdog saga - Hoosiers on the football field -steers clear of cliches and scored at every step.

Affects of Tsunami in Asia

Hey so the tsunami that hit in tailand and sri lanka is leaving some pretty major affects on earth. Heres the info,

Inventor Tom Watson claims he predicted the bizarre weather currently hitting the southern hemisphere months ago.
The amateur scientist has been tinkering with a theory of magnetic emissions for years and believes a change in the sun's magnetic polarity back in early 2001 has skewed the seasons.
At that time, astronomers at the US National Solar Observatory recorded the sun switching polarity, when its magnetic north pole moved from the northern hemisphere to pointing south. They predict this event will occur every 11 years at the solar maximum.
Mr Watson believes this phenomenon could affect the weather.
``That's why we experienced heatwave conditions with no rain in winters in 2001, 2002 and 2003,'' Mr Watson said.
``And now our summer zone is switching into a winter zone.''
In other words, Mr Watson believes changed magnetic fields coming from the sun and hitting the earth's magnetic field are causing summer conditions to be felt in winter, and winter in summer - including the low pressure systems lately moving through central Australia.
Although he didn't predict the tsunami that devastated South-East Asia, Mr Watson said the natural disaster could have been caused by the switch affecting pressure on the earth.
A difference in magnetic fields could lead to a pressure variation on the Earth's crust, he said.
According to Mr Watson, Australians would experience colder summers and warmer winters until the sun's next polarity change in 2012.

AND

This week's deadly Asian Quake and Tsunami may have been so powerful, that it changed the rate of Earth's rotation. In a Reuters article, a NASA geophysicist theorizes that the quake compacted the Earth enough to speed up the planet's rotation by 3 microseconds. A second article says the quake moved undersea tectonic plates by up to 98 feet, shifting islands near Sumatra out to sea an unknown distance. Also, a USGS team wants images from commercial satellite operators to help pinpoint coastline damage. Lastly, an interesting article from the Australian Spaceguard Survey about the need for a Tsunami warning system in the Indian Ocean. The author comments that tsunami warnings may not help much, as people often flock to the coastline to see the giant waves." The current estimated death toll is now nearly 70,000

Its pretty crazy
~Caley
</blogitemurl>

Inspiration

Boy, 14, completes cross-Canada trek, but still waiting for liver transplant

TORONTO (CP) - A 14-year-old Ontario boy who defied medical odds by completing a gruelling cross-Canada walk to galvanize support for organ donation says he's "sad and angry" that he's still waiting for a liver transplant.
"I'm very disappointed," Kristopher Knowles said Thursday, as he laced up for the final leg of his 3,000-kilometre trek. "I thought I'd receive it on my walk. But it didn't happen, so I'm kind of upset."
The youngster, who hails from Sarnia, began his journey almost a year ago. He suffers from a potentially fatal liver disease called biliary atresia that often kills children before their second birthday.
He's been waiting for an organ transplant his entire life, and has already endured 20 surgeries that have riddled his small belly with deep scars.
"I shouldn't be here or alive right now," Kristopher said. "The doctors don't know why I'm surviving."
He said his goals are modest: to experience high school, play hockey and do normal "kid stuff."
His mother, Sandra, said she's worn out by the wait.
"It's been a long 14 years. He needs to continue on with his life."
George Marcello, whose charity Step by Step sponsored the walk, said the government has neglected organ donation for too long. He is calling on Canada to adopt an "opt out" system of organ donation that would put every Canadian on a donor list, while giving individuals the right to be removed from the registry.
"Countries that have that system have a dramatic increase in organ donation," he said, adding that presumed consent exists in 22 countries.
Canada currently follows the opposite protocol, requiring interested donors to "opt in" by signing cards and informing their families of their wishes.
Last week, the NDP tabled a private member's bill on presumed consent in the Ontario legislature.
Marcello, who is a liver transplant recipient, said he spoke with Ontario Health Minister George Smitherman via teleconference Wednesday to promote the cause, but left disappointed.
"Politicians have a fear and are in doubt of how people will react to this," he said.
Smitherman's spokeswoman, Eva Lannon, said the health minister considers Kristopher a "health-care hero."
When asked if presumed consent was a government priority, she responded: "Our focus on this issue has been the renewal of the Trillium Gift of Life Network to enhance volumes. . . . So that's what we've been doing: encouraging people to sign their donor card."
Almost 4,000 Canadians are waiting for organ transplants, but Canada has one of the lowest rates of organ donation in the western world. Health Canada estimates that fewer than 15 in one million Canadians are donors.
That means about 150 people die each year waiting for transplants, the agency says.
A Leger poll earlier this year suggested that ethnic and religious issues may be a stumbling block, noting it is taboo in many non-western cultures to separate body parts after death.

from http://www.canada.com/health/story.html?id=e4769cf4-6f6b-4422-9610-0bf45a3ae22f

~Caley

High school is crap!

So i decided that for this blog i would put two very important definitions to what almost everyone in high school has either done, or has been subject to. I know that in the past few weeks i have been subject to both over something i know myself isn't at all true. Anyways that two definitions are rumors, and speculation.

SPECULATION --> a message expressing an opinion based on incomplete evidence
--> a conclusion, opinion, or theory reached by conjecture.

RUMOR --> a piece of unverified information of uncertain origin usually spread by word of the mouth.
--> gossip (usually a mixture of truth and untruth) passed around by word of mouth

~Caley

Career Fair

Well i know many people think that the career fair is a waste of time, i didn't think so until today. So today I thought to myself no need to rush off to school since there is only a career fair, and i will have tons of time to be able to browse at many schools i have already seen. And so at about 830 i got up and then headed of to halton at about 850. So as i got into the school i walked into a huge crowd of people i don't know, looking for anyone to talk to before my calm project group got there. So I talked to Stephanie Spahman for awhile, and helped find her missing ticket for prizes. Then some other stuff happened and my project group finally got there. We walked around got some brochures and i was sick of doing absolutely nothing while listening to a really crap band called legally blind....in my opinion they should have asked local bands like awestruck to play but anyways i decided to leave becasue it was just a stupid event, and really half of the kids were sitting on the bleachers most likely just waiting to be able to leave.

~Caley

SO im back

Well late last night i gto back from england and right now it would be 9:00 pm, and its only 2:00 pm here. So i am soo tired. Anyways England and Scotland were pretty good, we didn't get over to paris but thats ok becasue i would have missed stuff i saw in London and the area. So on the whole trip we saw probably 5 castles, Shakespeares birthplace (original), Stonehenge (kinda wierd to think about its purpose), Edinburgh, Scotland, Windsor Castle (the Queen lives there and left the day before we were there), All of london, Oxford University, White Cliffs of Dover, Some palaces (including Buckingham), Canterbury, tons of churchs(westminster abbey). WE took lots of tours, and the funny thing is on all three tours in england we took we had the same tour guide ( a crazy irish guy named paul) , it was wierd that it ended up that way each time. I would recomend that if you are willing to walk and take lots of educational tours go to the United Kingdom.

When we went to all of the cathedrals and churches it was wierd becasue all around you are different tombs. All of the kings and queens were in these elaborate box looking things with cages around them. In westminster abbey they had more than just kings and queens, they had knights, poets, philosophers and "important" people. Now there isn't enough room so any royals to die are going to toher churches.

It was funny becasue when we were driving through the cotswolds there were all of these little pigs runny fre on the hillside with their own personal little huts. The cotswolds also had lots of thactching on the roofs of house. Oh and after the cotswolds we saw where the magna carta had been signed so thats interesting.

I would like to go back because i liked it so much. Anyways if anyone wants to see some pictures and different things ill have them in about 2 weeks since i had 11 rolls. I don't think ill take them here, ill wait until i get into lethbridge.

~Caley

Some trivia:

The flag of the United Kingdom is only called the Union Jack while it is flown at sea!

<a href="<$BlogItemURL$">">Link
</blogitemurl>

In England

Well now that i am in England i am amazed at so many different things. First you wouldn't think that the driving system would be much different then at home! HA well besides the driving on the otherside of the road to drive here is almost like having a death wish. There are no speed limits, no rules really at all. Bikers have to follow on the road with traffic as it is speeding by. So it really is quite scary to ride those double decker buses.

So far we have been going like crazy because of everything we have to see in such little time. So we saw leeds castle, white cliffs of dover, canterbury cathedral, and kensington palace where princess diana used to live. And piccadilly circus (its not realyl a circus) Today we are doing this hop on hop off bus tour which will be fun. So I don't know what else to write except high to everyone back home its about 9:54 here and about 1:54 am there. So see you all when i get home and look for more post on what i have been doing#

¬CAley

last days

Well today is the second day i have at home since i am going to Europe. So i decided that i would write and say that when I get back i will write everything about my trip here so people know what all happened. Anyways i leave really late tommarow and i am not looking forward to it. I don't want to be up at 2 am and have to drive to Calgary. It was bad enough coming home on thursday and being "rudely" awakened by screaming and sudden braking of the van. Well actually that is worse than having to be up early. I am also not looking forward to having to do stupid physics and social homework on the airplane. But hey at least i wont be behind. A woman who had dedicated her life to helping Iraqis people. I don't understand why they would murder someone who wanted to help them. Anyways the article is out of the Washington Post.

~Caley

BAGHDAD, Nov. 16 -- The British government concluded Tuesday that Margaret Hassan, a British-Iraqi relief official who worked on behalf of poor Iraqis for more than 20 years, was probably killed by kidnappers who seized her in Baghdad a month ago.
The abduction of Hassan, 59, had provoked outrage among Iraqis. Hassan had remained in the country in support of humanitarian efforts during and after the U.S. invasion, defying risks that led most aid organizations to withdraw from Iraq.

British officials reported Hassan's likely death after studying a videotape provided by al-Jazeera television in which a blindfolded woman was shot in the head at point-blank range. The satellite network, based in Qatar, declined to broadcast the execution.
"As a result of our analysis we have today had to inform Margaret Hassan's family that, sadly, we now believe that she has probably been murdered, although we cannot conclude this with complete certainty," British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said in a statement released in London late Tuesday.
"To kidnap and kill anyone is inexcusable," Straw said, offering condolences to Hassan's family. "But it is repugnant to commit such a crime against a woman who has spent most of her life working for the good of the people of Iraq."
Although the report of Hassan's death came within days of a fierce battle by U.S. forces to dislodge insurgents in the central Iraqi city of Fallujah, many Iraqis focused on her killing as a meaningless act.

"Did they win? Is it something great for these men to kill an old woman?" said Sawsen Bayati, 35, who heard the news in a Baghdad kebab shop. "They cannot do anything to the American Army -- that's why they go after those innocent people.
"Oh, how I miss safety."

There have been more than 170 kidnappings since April, and at least 34 people have been killed. The killings of hostages have brought widespread condemnation from among Iraqis, who often say such atrocities sully the image of Islam.

Hassan, director of CARE International's operations in Iraq, was a harsh critic of U.N. sanctions against the country before the U.S. invasion that ousted President Saddam Hussein. She helped produce surveys demonstrating that the U.S.-sponsored measures contributed to the deaths of thousands of children.

In various interviews, she distanced her operation from the United States, emphasizing that the CARE programs she ran through the 1990s to bring clean water and health care to Iraq's poor were technically run by the Australian branch of the charity, not its U.S. headquarters. After her abduction, the organization closed its operations in Iraq, joining many other international groups that have said they cannot operate safely in the country.

Hassan, who was born in Dublin and held British as well as Irish citizenship, had lived in Iraq since 1974, moving to Baghdad and becoming an Iraqi citizen after marrying Tahseen Ali Hassan, the son of a prominent family in Basra, in the far south.
She was kidnapped by gunmen Oct. 19 during her morning commute to CARE's office in west Baghdad. "It's a disaster for Iraq," her husband said shortly after the abduction. "Her whole life she worked for the Iraqi people."

Following news of the kidnapping, gritty video footage of the captive showed up on Arab satellite channels. The announcer read a demand that British troops be pulled out of Iraq. A subsequent video showed Hassan breaking down in tears and pleading for her life. Al-Jazeera refused to air a later tape, in which the gaunt captive collapsed on camera and a man doused her with a bucket of water.

There was anger in Iraq over the abduction. Iraqis on crutches and in wheelchairs gathered at a protest in Baghdad. The Association of Muslim Scholars, an organization of Sunni clerics that vocally supports the insurgency, issued a declaration that the aid worker was not a legitimate target.
At first, the protests appeared to have an effect. Her captors passed along word that they did not want to kill Hassan, but were holding her in an effort to embarrass the British government, the Bush administration's most prominent ally in the war.

But there was conflicting information about her status. On Nov. 2, al-Jazeera reported that the kidnappers had threatened to turn Hassan over to the group headed by Abu Musab Zarqawi, a Jordanian extremist who boasted of beheading other foreign hostages. Three days later, a message posted on the Internet by Zarqawi's group criticized her abduction, urging her release.
Al-Jazeera received the latest video at about the same time a woman's mutilated body was found on a street in Fallujah. The body remains unidentified.

Hassan's four brothers and sisters said that her "love of the Arab people started in the 1960s when she worked in Palestinian camps, living with the poorest of the poor and supporting the refugees."

"Our hearts are broken," Hassan's family said in a statement after al-Jazeera reported receiving the video. "We have kept hoping for as long as we could, but we now have to accept that Margaret has probably gone and at last her suffering has ended.

"Nobody can justify this," the statement by Hassan's family concluded. "Margaret was against sanctions and the war. Siluk Nov. 17, 2004

Received an email today from some distrait reader of my article on Yasser Arafat [an Islamic somebody]; he didn’t deny anything I said, only didn’t like that I wrote. And it sounded to me as if he was justifying Arafat’s actions. As I should think, they only want nice things written about their heroes; brainwashed or not. I will not let you read his letter, it was quite nasty at times, and resentful, again as I’d figured, they can dish it out but can’t take it. And he called me a few little names but again let’s leave that for the crows. He told me Allah over looks all such wrong doings by his servants when they get such recognition from the French: as Arafat did. Kind of a license to kill or robe I would think, with Allah looking the other way. But let me get into my little letter, and you can take it from there how a PLO or lover of the Islamic left thinks (which is no news to me): First of all I call him Bone-head, which is a nice name in comparison to what he called me. I had to inform him I was not a Jew, because for some reason he thought I was that he expected the rest of the world thought like he did and hated Jews. Then I informed him, as hard as it may be to understand this, I have friends, or used to have friends at the Saudi house in St. Paul, who attended the University of Hamlin, so as usual, this Muslim got everything wrong; plus I have Muslim friends at the bookstore. I have informed him as I have in many articles, I’ve even studied their Holy Book, crossed checked it with the Bible with Saudi Muslims; and yes, there were debates. Now for the second part of the letter, in which I said, his Allah is no other than Satan dressed like an angel of light, for is not Satan called the: “Bearer of Light?” Yes he is. Second, I told him I was a Christian, and the Christians I know are thanking God, Arafat is out of this world for good, not coming back. He has done enough harm to mankind in general: Muslims, Jews and Christians alike: of which we should not forget he killed Americans at the University in Israel not log ago; he had no love for Allah, the PLO, or America, maybe only Hillary, I even doubt he loved Suha, she was a fancy for him. Third, Arafat better hope (as Irafn has said), Allah will over look his dealings on earth, how convenient for him to go out and kill, and Allah overlooks it; a license to kill and rob. To be honest, who would want him in heaven, and in Hell, he’ll be a toy for the rest of the crew. He’ll be no big shot wherever he’s at now; just one of the many criminals sent to hell because no other place was suited for him. I told Bone-head why not look at facts, not his emotional dingdong mind set. I mean this guy is in outer space, he is not living in the here and now. The whole world knows he was a criminal, not just Jews, who he hates, but I suppose that is some kind of Islamic strain to boil hate for the pleasure of the high. He even insults Christ and Mary, but again so be it, he will have his day. And he says in so many words: France saluted Mr. Arafat, and Jews and Christians were with them. First of all, France would salute Hitler if he’d buy a hotel in France, or pay for Suha’s room bill, at the five-star hotel for five-years (thus, France no good example for the world body). Second, they were not Christians waving their hands at Arafat’s funeral, there are no real Christians in France that I know of, or I should say the true Christians are at home. And for the Jews waving their hands, which I doubt very much they were, which is only the Bone-head’s day-dreaming, the Jews that he claims were waving must be on some kind of drugs. Then this goofball goes on to tell me how Allah and the Muslims take care of their women and children. When I was in Egypt, they were sleeping on the bridges that crossed the Nile, in Cairo, in cardboard boxes, begging to American Christens for a handout. What a hero, if that is the best he can come up with, the PLO has got very little to look at for 40-years of killing. Arafat will be forgotten by the world as fast as a drop of rain hits the ground. He could have been a great man, but was no more than a thief and a murder: like Israel said: a criminal. Well the usual response of this is the normal moaing and groaning of all of the students. I can disagree i didn't want to write and essay at all today. Especially one that i was going to be able to plan a day ahead. Anyways our essay was on the industrial revolutions positve and negative effects. I ended up gettin like 5 pages and a grade average of 12.0 but hey that never means a thing. I suppose i will put my essay on my blog so that you will be able to read it if you want and hey tell me if you think its bad or good!

~caley

The Industrial Revolution began in Britain in the late 1800’s, making Britain the first ever industrialized country in the world. This issue is important because it affected the world by creating a place where people no longer became dependant on their own abilities, but instead dependant on what machines and new technologies could do for them. The cottage industry which was an industry where people depended on their own abilities to create hand made crafts was replaced by the factory system. This new and improved system in the factories is what created assembly lines, division of labour, and inter-changeability of parts. Not only did new technologies and inventions arise from the Industrial Revolution but new philosophies were beginning to be seen, these new philosophies being Communism led by Karl Marx, Capitalism led by Adam Smith, Socialism led by Robert Owen, and Liberals in the middle. This issue is so multifaceted because there were negative affects to the I.R. such as, pollution to the environment and high crimes rates. The industrial Revolution was a very positive event in World History because of its input to the world, without it Canada wouldn’t be one of the most advanced countries of the world.

A major factor in this issue is urbanization, one of the results of the Industrial Revolution. Urbanization was caused by the enclosure acts, the enclosure act were created to resolve the issue of land not being used to its full potential. Many of the results of Urbanization brought people to the cities of Great Britain and allowed for more factories to be built because of the abundance of the proletariat. It also made way for new housing and resources for the steadily increasing population. Urbanization was caused by the enclosure acts, the enclosure act were created to resolve the issue of land not being used to its full potential. Other topics of urbanization include the increase of socialization between people, and because of more socializing the people began to talk about issues and share their ideas. One of the most effective results of the I.R. was urbanization, and it is still being used in many underdeveloped countries of the world. Without urbanization again we wouldn’t live in the world that we have created for ourselves today.

Many philosophies became evident during the Industrial Revolution, many of which we still use in our modern politics today. The two most popular of the new philosophies were Communism and Capitalists. Communism was led by the father of Socialism Karl Marx the author of “The Communist Manifesto”. One of his beliefs was that the industrial revolution was a step back. Karl Marx also believed that the workers should all benefit from the work being done. In other words he thought that all profits should be shared between everyone or work for the common good. By doing this he would eliminate the upper class, bourgeoisie, and the proletariat. Karl Marx also wanted to create labour unions where people would fight for their own labour rights. Overall the Karl Marx wanted equality between all people. Capitalism was created by Adam Smith who created “laissez-faire”. Laissez-faire meaning hands off, Adam Smith said this because he wanted little to no government control. One of Adam Smiths beliefs which were completely opposite to Karl Marx was that a revolution would make people self sufficient. Adam Smith wanted to make a point that individualism was the only way, the without is people could no longer take pride in work or benefit from hard labour. He wanted the classes to stay as they were because if they didn’t anyone would receive money and not even have to be a contribution to the workforce. There were also many other philosophies that emerged from the I.R. such as Socialism led by Robert Owen who wanted to create a Utopian State, Liberals who wanted a large amount of government control and the Chartists. Basically with new ideologies and philosophies it gave the people of the I.R. the chance to free their thinking and have new ideas, and so it was a positive result of the revolution.

The Factory System was also one of the most highly effective results of the Industrial Revolution. The Factory System was system that changed the face of production by allowing more goods to be produced and also produced at a faster rate. Sub factors of the Factory system include division of labour/specialization, inter-changeability of parts, and the assembly line. Division of labour/specialization was basically a way to give workers a specific job to complete a minor part of a finished product. These workers who worked at these stations knew only how to do their job and didn’t have to worry about another stations job. Inter-changeability of parts was a way to enhance the lasting of products and their use. Essentially it allowed people to purchase a specific part for a product instead of having to dispose of it, by having Inter-changeability it resulted in less waste of products. Lastly the assembly line was tied into specialization. The assembly line allowed for goods to be produced faster, this was done by each person having a job and one they had finished they would pass the unfinished product to the next station until it was completed. The factory system was a major influence to the Industrial Revolution and is still an influence in our world today, without it we wouldn’t be able to receive goods as quickly and we would also lose a large portion of our employment.

Nevertheless, there are people on the other side of the issue that may argue that the new improvements of society were not beneficial. Things like the factory system was creating too much pollution, businesses did not have to pay taxes, and there were very low incomes. Despite these claims, they are wrong because when a country is going through a revolution there are difficult times and without these hard times you could never take a step forward. There were many benefits to the industrialization such as more available jobs for the people, better working conditions, and wages were slowly increasing. Even though there may be hard times in a revolution like there was in the French Revolution but in the end the people have benefited and their standard of living and quality of life have been amplified.

The people on the other side of the issue may also argue that because of urbanization there were many negative affects. These affects include shortages of goods, crime, and poor sanitation. All of these issues were the result of the overcrowded cities which seemed to still be steadily increasing. So this shows that people were coming to these cities with the prospect of wanting to live in a better world and begin the life of a proletariat. When the living conditions are so terrible people don’t want to subject themselves to that type of life, but because of the great opportunities laid in front of them by the Industrial Revolution these conditions were inferior to them.

The Industrial Revolution was a very positive event in World History that affected the people of its time and is still affecting countries all around the world. There were many benefits of the revolution such as urbanization, the highly effective factory system and new philosophies. All of which are still being used today not just in Canada but in many other countries some that are still developing and evolving. Where ever we go today in our towns or cities we see industrialization and its benefits, without it we wouldn’t be able to take a trip in a car or to fly to see into the past. These things all have been a result of the Industrial Revolution whether we believe it or not.

Arafat successor Mahmoud Abbas escapes injury after shooting(15.11.2004

The Palestinian interim leader Mahmoud Abbas escaped injury when gunmen opened fire in a tent holding mourners for Yasser Arafat.
Abbas escaped with the help of bodyguards, but two people were killed and six injured in the gunfire.
Much of the shooting appeared to be in the air and not at anyone in particular. Mahmoud Abbas tried to play down the shooting and said it was not an assassination attempt.
Some of the gunmen however did shout anti Abbas slogans and accused him of being an agent for the Americans.
Since the death of Yasser Arafat from "unknown causes", there have been numerous rumours flying around that Arafat may have been "assassinated" by those working closely with him and who have a certain amount of support from Israel.
As Prime Minister, Mahmoud Abbas briefly persuaded militants to stop the attacks on Israel and must be seen by them, and the United States, as a favourable choice to lead Palestine after the elections planned for January. However, Abbas may not command the support and respect of his people and Marwan Barghouti, who is currently sitting in an Israeli prison, was judged to be the most popular politician after Arafat, according to a recent poll.
Whilst Palestine need a leader who is capable of discussing peace with Israel, he can not be seen to be too "biased" in this respect, if he is to maintain any credibility with his people.

Well since i made a post about Yassar Arafat i thought i might as well put this latest story up of his succesor Mahmoud Abbas. What we talked about gave me alot of knowledge to what may be ahead in the future.

Yassur Arafat won a nobel peace prize, if anyone knew that. Why, I have absolutely no idea. He get the peace prize for working out a crisis in the middle east but the way he worked it out was by assasinating the leader of the whole thing. So why should he get the prize for that? I believe that Yassur Arafat was the father of terrorism, Yes before Osama Binladen.

I also believe that the war that is being faught is not going to be over within a few months or years. In the past there have been religous battles all of the way back to the Knights Templer (The Knights Templer were a group of chrsitians protecting christians entering Jerusalum). So why would we all of a sudden be able to resolve all of the problems now? Westerners dont agree with eastern idealogies (Isalmic, Muslim) as the Easterns don't agree with our western ideologies. The terrorist acts are just severe ways to show us westerners that our ways are not in agreement with Kalah (god) and that becasue of this we should be punished. Which is why all of these people are getting beheaded in the middle east. It is a continous circle that George Bush or any political leader for that matter is going to solve in a few months. The terrorist acts are just severe ways to show us westerners that our ways are not in agreement with Kalah (god) and that becasue of this we should be punished. Which is why all of these people are getting beheaded in the middle east.

If we remeber the 2 World War with Adolf Hitler "cleansing" everywhere he possible could of Black people, Jews, and the mentally Handicapped. If we as a country contiue to let these foreigners into Canada we will eventually lose control. Then where would we be. We would be overrun and taken control of by people who are not from Canada.

Well Anyways that is my opinion and I have to cut it off now.
Comment give me your opinion.

~Caley
<a href="<$BlogItemURL$">">Link

</blogitemurl>

Frustration

Well as i just read alyssa's blog about youth in pincher creek i would have to agree. Tonight i saw some youth who i know and well wasn't to pleased. I personally can't see the logic behind any desicions that they are making and yet i am sure that i have made many of the same stupid desicions, and have been talked about the same way. Now that i can see some of the stupid things these kids are doing and they way that they are acting i would like to see what i was like in junior high. Im sure something that it would be something i wouldn't like. So in agreement with alyssa the youth are messed but we all have have the crazed hormones of junior high.

Next issue to discuss would be the scary thing i saw outside the theatre today after the matinee. You see we have a wooden dumpster that is at the back..logically a place where we can put all of the garbage but now our garbage is not safe. A few weeks ago my manager went out side to discover that our dumpster had been pried apart and the trusty little lock that only the theatre and the garbage guys have keys for was of no use to us anymore. The natives had ripped away the top of the bin. Which now leads to what i saw today. Today i saw a group of 4 or so natives all crowded around this dumpster with one of the popcorn buckets sitting on top. Im quite sure that they were not just admiring this bucket but yes they had been eating popcorn that had been thrown out. In a way a feel sorry for these people but then they have a choice that they are given. They can spend their money in stupid ways or get their lives straightened around to make it allll better.

~Caley

The beginning

Well like everyone else i decided why not create a blog?
